I am an experienced Board Chair, advisor and Exec coach – currently scaling my own start-up in AI-powered education – with investment by Daniel Hulme, the UK’s leading AI pioneer and Chief AI Officer at advertising giant WPP. I have served on many boards and mentored many CEOs in my prior work as director of a venture capital firm and as a technology industry leader. A career highlight for me was providing the software for the first decoding of the human genome, another was enabling every Formula One team cut the time to do their design computing so they could make changes during a race weekend, rather than afterwards. I am passionate about the application of AI and data analytics to new areas – a major focus for BigData4Analytics, a specialist AI consulting business I founded ten years ago. The company has provided advisory and training services to many large companies including Zurich Insurance, Investec, EY, Grant Thornton etc. I have coached/advised CEOs in many locations (USA, Spain, France, Scandinavia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, etc), following my executive coaching accreditation with APECS in 2013. Many assignments have been delivered through partners including Grant Thornton, Microsoft’s Scale-Up service, CEO-Collaborative Forum, Portugal Ventures, Consilience Ventures and the European Venture Contest.
