Digital Inclusion - Why upskilling communities should be the first consideration of digital innovators.

Digital Inclusion - Why upskilling communities should be the first consideration of digital innovators.

The Spark iT project is delivered by Somerset-based charity Spark Somerset and aims to help residents in Somerset get access to digital skills and devices.

Digital Cafes/Hubs and Drop In's are hosted by community spaces and facilitated by our Digital Volunteer Champions.

Over the two years we have seen the positive impact the project has had on the improved health and well being of individuals who access the service.

In the next 12 months the project hopes to become self-sustaining and create legacy, if funding is not available into the future. Community spaces will be given the support and guidance they need to help them take ownership and develop the offer that is right for their community and residents.
