Rachel Lacey is the Deputy Team Leader of Gateshead Council's Youth Justice Department.
Working with Digital Voice has been an excellent opportunity to hear the voices of our children and young people. Young people with lived experience of the criminal justice system are more likely to have an impact on other young people, I felt it was important to produce a digital resource which could connect with other young people. The video has reached 100s of young people and workers within Children’s Social Care and it continues to be used to engage with young people in understanding how young people become involved in offending behaviour.
